Basic Brown Sauce

  • Mix 1 tbsp flour, 2 tbsp sugar, 3 tbsp soy sauce, 1c broth and bring to a bubble in medium heat
  • Salt and pepper taste


Great with any stir-fry recipe!

Tangy Brown Sauce

  • Mix 6 tbsp sweet chilli sauce, 2 tbsp soy sauce, 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar, 1 tbsp teriyaki sauce


Great with any stir-fry recipe!

Basic Dipping Sauce

  • Mix 1/3c vinegar, 1/3c soy sauce , 1/2 medium onion (diced), 3 cloves garlic (crushed), 2 tbsp sugar, salt and pepper to taste and microwave for about 30 seconds


Absolutely wonderful with fried meat and seafood!

Remoulade Sauce

  • Mix 1/2c mayonnaise, 1/4c ketchup, 1 tbsp sweet relish, 1 tsp apple cider vinegar or lemon juice, 1 tsp spicy brown mustard, 1 tsp dried parsley
  • Optional:  Dash of paprika and 1/2 tsp horseradish


Another great use as a sandwich spread!

Pancit Canton Sauce

  •  Mix 1-1.5 tbsp flour, 1 tbsp sugar, 4 tbsp soy sauce, 2c broth, 1 tbsp onion powder, 1 tsp garlic power, and 2 tbsp olive oil and bring to a bubble in medium heat
  • Salt and pepper taste 

Pesto Sauce

  • Blend 3c kale and/or spinach, 1/2c almonds, 1/2c grated parmesan, 3 cloves garlic, 1/2 tsp salt, 1/4 tsp pepper, and 1/2c olive oil until desired consistency

Cheese Sauce

  • Make a roux with  2 tbsp butter and 2 tbsp flour.  Mix in 1 cup milk, 1 cup stock, 2 cups shredded cheddar, 8oz cream cheese, 1 tbsp dijon mustard, salt and pepper to taste, and a pinch of nutmeg.  Continue to stir and cook in medium heat until sauce consistency.

Marmalade Glaze

  • Mix 1/2 cup orange marmalade, 1/2 cup brown sugar, and 1/2 cup spicy brown mustard


Great with baked ham!

Tomato Salsa

  • Blend 1 can (14.5oz) drained diced tomatoes, 1 tsp onion powder, 1/2 tsp garlic powder, 2 cloves garlic, 1/2 cup diced onions, 1/2 cup diced green bell peppers, salt and pepper to taste until desired consistency

Hummus

  • Blend 1 can chickpeas, 1 tsp onion powder, 1/2 tsp garlic powder, 1 clove garlic, 1/4 cup olive oil, 1/2 roasted red bell pepper, salt and pepper to taste until desired consistency

Gravy

  • Mix 3 cups stock, 2 tbsp crushed chicken bullion, 4 tbsp cornstarch or 6 tbsp flour, 6 tbsp butter. 2 tbsp brandy, dried herbs, and salt and pepper to taste.  Continue to stir and bring to a bubble in medium heat.

Bread Dip

  • Mix 1 cup olive oil, 1 tbsp mixed dried herbs, 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar, 1/2 tsp crushed red peppers, salt and pepper to taste, *optional:  1/2 tsp onion powder and 1/4 tsp garlic powder
